Static Black Hole Uniqueness for nonpositive masses

چکیده
In a renowned paper, Lee and Neves proved Penrose inequality for spacetimes with negative cosmological constant nonpositive mass aspect. As an application, they were able to obtain static uniqueness theorem Kottler mass. this we propose alternative more elementary proof of result discuss some possible generalizations, most notably degenerate horizons.

Black Hole Uniqueness Theorems
I review the black hole uniqueness theorem and the no hair theorems established for physical black hole stationary states by the early 80’. This review presents the original and decisive work of Carter, Robinson, Mazur and Bunting on the problem of no bifurcation and uniqueness of physical black holes. Its original version was written only few years after my proof of the Kerr-Newman et al. blac...
متن کاملUniqueness of static black holes without analyticity
We show that the hypothesis of analyticity in the uniqueness theory of vacuum, or electrovacuum, static black holes is not needed. More generally, we show that prehorizons covering a closed set cannot occur in well-behaved domains of outer communications. PACS numbers: 04.70.Bw, 04.50.Cd, 04.50.Gh
متن کاملBlack Hole Masses of High-redshift Quasars
Black-hole masses of distant quasars cannot be measured directly, but can be estimated to within a factor 3 to 5 using scaling relationships involving the quasar luminosity and broad-line width. Why such relationships are reasonable is summarized. The results of applying scaling relationships to data of quasars at a range of redshifts (z ≤ 6.3) are presented. Luminous quasars typically have mas...
متن کاملBlack hole masses in active galaxies
This contribution reviews two topics of current interest in the study of black hole demographics in active galaxies: Can the stellar velocity dispersions of quasar host galaxies be measured? And can we constrain the black hole mass function below 10 M ?
متن کاملBlack Hole Masses from Reverberation Measurements
We have reanalyzed in a consistent way existing reverberation data for 35 AGNs for the purpose of refining the black hole masses derived from these data. We find that the precision (or random component of the error) of reverberation-based black hole mass measurements is typically around 30%, comparable to the precision attained in measurement of black hole masses in quiescent galaxies by gas or...
